Marshal N. Miller, MD, AAHIVS

Dr. Miller is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Family Medicine within the Department of Family & Community Medicine at Thomas Jefferson University. He graduated from the Jefferson Medical College summa cum laude with an MD degree in 2012 and was awarded The Alumni Prize, The William Potter Memorial Prize in Clinical Medicine and The Arthur Krieger Memorial Prize in Family Medicine at the time of graduation. He served his internship and residency in Family Medicine at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital and graduated in 2015 receiving the Paul C. Brucker Clinical Excellence Award.

He joined the Thomas Jefferson University faculty as a Clinical Instructor in 2015 and served as the department’s inaugural Fourth Year Chief Resident/Academic Fellow where he continued to pursue interests in graduate and undergraduate medical education as well as HIV primary care. During this year he started the Kendig Comprehensive Care Clinic within the Department of Family & Community Medicine with the joint goals of providing comprehensive HIV care services to patients infected with HIV and enhancing resident exposure to caring for HIV-positive patients.  This clinic was co-located with the Jefferson Infectious Disease HIV clinic in 2016 to further achieve both of the aforementioned goals and enhance interdepartmental collaboration.  Dr. Miller received credentialing through the AAHIVM as a HIV specialist (AAHIVS) in 2017 and was promoted to Clinical Assistant Professor of Family Medicine.

As Clinical Assistant Professor he has taught medical and physician assistant students in HIV care, as well as serving as a case-based learning and clinical skills small group leader. He is actively involved in resident education and serves on the Clinical Competency Committee for the residency.  His current academic based practice includes inpatient care, full-spectrum primary care and comprehensive HIV care.  He is board certified in Family Medicine and has authored or co-authored 4 peer-reviewed journal articles.
