The Jefferson Difference
Welcome to the Jefferson College of Pharmacy (JCP) where we educate and train future pharmacists and pharmaceutical scientists and offer programs to advance those already in practice. The college of pharmacy is located on the Thomas Jefferson University Center City campus, adjacent to two hospitals and three community pharmacies that are part of Jefferson Health. Being at the heart of an academic health system affords our students the opportunity to seek out additional mentors, engage in ongoing projects, and see state of the art technology in practice.
- Our students are practice-ready, confirmed by our consistently high national licensure exam pass rate for first time test takers.
- Our students are involved in professional activities and are recognized or their knowledge, leadership, and research abilities.
- Our students pursue postgraduate training and match at a higher rate than the national average.
Upon completion of your Doctor of Pharmacy degree alumni and others may continue to expand their expertise by completing a graduate certificate or MS degree in Population Health Pharmacy. This program is intended for those with a PharmD degree who want to practice and make a difference in decreasing healthcare disparities and improving medication use outcomes.
For those more interested in research, we offer a MS in Pharmaceutical Science. Students in this program learn laboratory and research skills and are primed to pursue a PhD or seek a position in research.
Whatever your interest, we have passionate faculty ready to help our students reach their goals.
