Eligibility

On-campus summer housing is contingent upon a student’s enrollment in summer 2024 classes on the Jefferson - East Falls Campus, and/or affiliation and a work-study or student leadership position with a campus partner. Summer housing for 2024 is offered in doubles, singles, and modified singles in Independence Plaza. Summer students must also be currently enrolled for spring 2024 classes, and registered or planning to register for fall 2024 classes.

• Summer I: $1,800
  • Check-in: Sunday, May 12, 2024 from 12 pm-2 pm
  • Express checkout: no later than 10 am on Friday, June 21, 2024
• Summer II: $1,800
  • Check-in: Sunday, June 23, 2024 from 12 pm-2 pm
  • Express checkout: no later than 10 am on Friday, August 2, 2024
• Summer I and II: $3,600
  • Check-in: Sunday, May 12, 2024 from 12 pm-2 pm
  • Express checkout: no later than 10 am on Friday, August 2, 2024

Assignments

• All summer housing will be in Independence Plaza - Jefferson.
• Students who apply for Summer I housing by May 5, 2024 will receive their summer housing assignment no later than May 8, 2024.
• The summer housing application allows students to select roommate groups, similar to the returning student housing application. We cannot guarantee roommate groups will be placed together for students who apply after May 5, 2024. We will honor roommate group requests as supply and demand permits.

Information for Spring Semester Residents

• Spring semester residents may stay in their spring assignment through Sunday, May 12, 2024 until 12 pm. Orientation Leaders, Student Workers, and Summer Session I residents will transition to their assignment in Independence Plaza - Jefferson on Sunday, May 12, 2024 from 12 pm-2 pm without needing to find other accommodations. All students must return the key to check out of their Spring 2024 assignment by this time.
• On Sunday, May 12, 2024 at 12 pm, students should report to the IP Guard Desk, where a staff member will provide each student with their summer key. After moving to Independence Plaza - Jefferson, students must complete an Express Checkout for their Spring 2024 assignment. All moves from spring assignments to summer assignments must be complete by 2 pm on Sunday, May 12, 2024.

New Summer I Residents

• New Summer I residents will move into Independence Plaza - Jefferson on Sunday, May 12, 2024 from 12 pm-2 pm. The staff member will provide each student with their summer key.
• Students moving in for summer should report to the IP Guard Desk, where a staff member will provide each student with their summer key.
