Off-Campus Housing
Thomas Jefferson University’s East Falls Campus community has a thriving commuter population. We offer a portal for students seeking off-campus housing.
Off-Campus Housing Portal
Visit offcampus.jefferson.edu to create an account using your University e-mail address. Students will have access to search the listings using many filters, including neighborhood, rate, number of bedrooms, etc.
We encourage students to use the East Falls campus filter if you wish to see spaces closer to the campus. Alternatively, students can search the entire list, but limit only to neighborhoods from which they are interested in commuting.
While rentals in the area are typically reserved further in advance, many returning students will begin looking in March or April. Apartment complexes in the area typically have vacancies posted as they become open. Many students report that 6-8 weeks is an optimal time to reserve a space, but housing is often available in the area even for last-minute leasing.
Area Rent
Rent in the area will vary greatly based on neighborhood, housing type, number of roommates, and amenities. Under the “Resources” tab on offcampus.jefferson.edu, students will find an option to create their off-campus budget. Students can then limit their search to rates that are within their budget.
Finding an Off-Campus Roommate
Students can seek out a roommate at offcampus.jefferson.edu. Students can create a profile and search for roommates under the “Roommates” tab.
Parking for Commuter Students
Students who live off campus and wish to park at the East Falls campus need to register their car with Public Safety. Check out the University parking guide.
Commuter Student Meal Plans
Meal plan selection for commuter students is available through the Housing Portal. Students can read more about the meal plan options on the Dining Services website.
