Students in our traditional hall-style buildings are housed in single-gender spaces according to gender identity. First-year students also have the opportunity to live in our gender-inclusive Intersectionality Community, located within a wing (house) in Ronson Hall.

Upper-class students can create gender-inclusive roommate groups in Independence Plaza apartments and our Townhouses. If there is a cancellation in an all-gender apartment, students may be offered the chance to secure a new roommate. Residential Life also reserves the right to assign another student of any gender to the space, or reclassify the apartment or Townhouse as single-gender.

So we can provide support, we encourage students who need or prefer gender-inclusive housing to contact us. It is our goal to provide safe and comfortable housing accommodations.
