Meet the Program Director

The Program Director for the fellowship is David Beckmann, MD, MPH.  After completing his psychiatry residency and child and adolescent fellowship at Massachusetts General and McLean Hospitals, Dr. Beckmann joined MGH as a faculty member in 2016.

Since then, he has focused primarily on medical education, working in the general psychiatry residency as an assistant program director and a coleader of the Clinician Educator Program; and in public and community psychiatry, where his clinical work focused on youth experiencing homelessness and youth with substance use disorders. Dr. Beckmann is most passionate about where these topics intersect, and hopes to share his excitement about community work with the next generation of child and adolescent psychiatrists.
