Office of Research

The Office of Research provides strategic support for research in the college  for faculty, fellows, and students in the development, implementation, analysis and completion of research that addresses topics related to population health. The Office assists will all aspects of the research process for JCPH faculty, students, and other affiliatated Jefferson personnel.

  • Any current faculty, staff, or students of the College of Population Health may request assistance, using the project registry.
  • Members of the wider Jefferson enterprise who are interested in collaborating with JCPH should contact Patrick Moeller, MPH  for a needs assessment and matching to current JCPH faculty, students or other resources.

  • Direct assistance through our graduate assistant program (either permanently or temporarily assigned to a project).
  • Assistance with identifying preliminary data resources, through publicly available sources, purchasable data, or internal Jefferson Electronic Health Record (EHR) requests.
  • Data collection and survey design assistance using HIPAA compliant systems such as REDCap or Qualtrics.
  • Analytic support via our biostatisticians.

  • Jefferson maintains a list of internal funding opportunities
  • For external funding, Jefferson faculty, staff and students have access to PIVOT, a searchable online database of currently open funding opportunities.  Access to a PIVOT account can be set up through Scott Memorial Library. 

 

 

Centers & Institutes

The Center supports the SKMC faculty and administration in evaluating the knowledge, skills and professionalism of students throughout the Doctor of Medicine curriculum.

The Jefferson Center for Connected Care develops and tests innovative approaches for a patient-responsive care delivery syste. 

The Jefferson Center for Injury Research and Prevention (JCIRP) is modelled after the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). The Center was formed with the intent of establishing a national center of expertise in the field of injury prevention and control. 

The Jefferson Clinical Research Institute (JCRI) offers a variety of services designed to promote the successful development, implementation, and management of clinical research at Thomas Jefferson University.
