Types of Resources
Our counselors are available for in-person crisis evaluations from 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. The SCC is located at 33 S. Ninth Street. Suite 230. Follow the signs for Department of Psychiatry and Human Behavior Specialty Services.
After hours, all students experiencing an emergency should call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room. On-campus students should go to the Thomas Jefferson University Hospital Emergency Room, located in the Main Hospital Building at 10th and Sansom (215-955-6060) and ask to speak to the Psychiatry Resident On-Call.
Dr. Nobleza is also available after hours for urgent phone consultations for students and concerned faculty by calling the SCC phone number at 215-503-2817 and then dialing "1" and then "0". Alternatively, the SCC On-Call Pager is 1-877-656-7287.
The National Suicide Prevention Lifeline, 1-800-273-TALK (8255), is a 24-hour, toll-free, confidential suicide prevention hotline available to anyone in suicidal crisis or emotional distress. By dialing 1-800-273-TALK, the call is routed to the nearest crisis center in a national network of more than 150 crisis centers. The Lifeline’s national network of local crisis centers provide crisis counseling and mental health referrals day and night.
