Overview
The Jefferson Department of Neurology is one of 18 Sidney Kimmel Medical College clinical departments.
The medical school is one of the oldest in the nation and was founded in 1824. It is part of Thomas Jefferson University, a medical and health sciences educational institution. Today, the Jefferson Department of Neurology is a highly renowned and esteemed regional clinical and academic department.
The department is based in Thomas Jefferson University Hospital, a 926-bed tertiary and quaternary care hospital in the center of Philadelphia. It also services the Jefferson Hospital for Neurosciences and Methodist Hospital, which are part of the Jefferson Hospital system. Outpatient services are provided at the Jefferson Hospital for Neurosciences, 900 Walnut Street, and the Honickman Center, 1101 Walnut Street, 10th Floor.
Our department is home to a diverse and dedicated team. We have ~100 attendings, 40 residents, and 16 fellows, all of whom contribute to our mission of providing excellent patient care, advancing medical knowledge, and training the next generation of neurologists.
