Welcome to the Neurology Residency Program at Thomas Jefferson University! Our fully ACGME accredited four-year categorical program offers comprehensive training in all contemporary aspects of clinical neurology, designed to nurture your growth as a skilled and compassionate neurologist.

We pride ourselves on fostering a supportive and collaborative community where residents experience a progressive increase in patient care and teaching responsibilities. Residents complete the program with strong training in comprehensive adult clinical neurology. Our clinical curriculum includes the breads of neurologic sub-specialties. You'll also receive intensive exposure to the foundational neurosciences.

Our program values the importance of mentorship and hard work. Residents are guided by dedicated faculty through their career development and growth.

To supplement their clinical training, all residents complete a mentored capstone scholarly project in areas such as clinical, translational, or basic science research; patient quality & safety; or medical education. Residents can engage in ongoing departmental research activities across various fields including cerebrovascular disease, epilepsy, headache, neurogenetics, neuroimmunology, dementia, peripheral nerve disease, to name a few.

We believe in the power of education and community. Residents receive extensive training in medical education, with opportunities to refine teaching skills in both pre-clinical and clinical environments at Sidney Kimmel Medical College. Residents engage in peer-to-peer teaching as part of our resident didactic curriculum and deliver a formal Grand Rounds presentation during their PGY4 year. Our Medical Teaching elective further allows residents to develop and deliver educational activities under faculty guidance.
