I completed my PhD in Pharmacy at the University of Nottingham (UK) and I also hold a Master’s and Bachelor’s degree both in 'Medical and Pharmaceutical Biotechnology'. For the work of my PhD, I differentiated pluripotent mouse embryonic stem cells into neuronal precursors and showed biophysical changes of the binding mechanism of the extracellular domain of E-cadherin using Atomic Force Microscopy (AFM) and Holographic Optical Tweezers (HOT) at the single molecule level as stem cells differentiate into neuronal lineages

I recently graduated from Thomas Jefferson University in 2019 with a PhD in Cell Biology and Regenerative Medicine where my thesis focused on understanding the role of desmin and vimentin in (dys)regulating bladder smooth muscle function and contributing to obstructive bladder pathophysiology. I am now a postdoctoral fellow involved with several ongoing projects involving G protein-coupled receptor regulation of airway smooth muscle functions, and am also branching into transitioning bench to bedside science by acting as a coordinator in the current pulmonary clinical trials.
