Zoe Van Orsdol, MA, MPH
Assistant Program Director, Public Health
Zoë is Assistant Program Director for the Public Health program where she is responsible for numerous administrative activities to students and the program including: coordination of Clerkship-Applied Practice Experience (C-APE), assisting students through the C-APE process and managing the LEAP C-APE experience at clerkship sites. She also oversees the accreditation compliance for the Public Health program, advises JeffSAPHE (the program's student organization), and advises students regarding their courses.
Zoë joined JCPH in 2021 as a Project Director where she managed professional development programs as well as the annual Population Health Colloquium.
Before joining JCPH, Zoë worked for a community-based organization in Philadelphia, leading their public health work with a focus on the social determinants of health and trauma-informed principles. While there, she worked on collaborative effort to create a trauma- informed engagement curriculum that community members could share with one another. Prior to her public health work, Zoë taught history for many years focusing on the intersection of civil rights, race and public health.
Zoë has an MPH from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, where her research focused on nutrition and equitable food systems, and an MA in African American Studies from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
