Chelsey Ali, PharmD
Health Economics & Outcomes Research (HEOR) Fellow
Chelsey Ali received her PharmD from the University of Maryland, Baltimore (UMB) in May of 2023. Her interest in health economics and outcomes research began with her work in patient-centered outcomes research where she identified an unmet need for a value assessment of COVID-19 therapeutics. She was also involved in the conduct of a discrete choice experiment to assess patient-centric value drivers for major depressive disorder treatments. During her rotation with Xcenda, she synthesized the literature surrounding utilization management policies to facilitate manuscript approval and explored HEOR functions. These experiences led her to pursue a career in HEOR to demonstrate product value to key stakeholders. Additional experiences included serving as Vice President, as well as Historian of Christian Pharmacists Fellowship International. Through the Teva-JCPH Fellowship, Chelsey hopes to build a strong foundation in HEOR and ultimately enhance patient access to pioneering treatments.
