Private/External Scholarships & Grants
In addition to institutional scholarships and grants, there are private organizations that offer scholarships and grants. Some are based on merit, some are based on financial need, some are based on a combination of merit and financial need, and others are based on criteria of specific donors.
Searching for outside scholarships and grants is a worthwhile exercise.
If you are awarded a private/external scholarship and/or grant, you are required to notify the Financial Aid Office with documentation and communication from the private/external scholarship and/or grant organization with the amount of the scholarship and/or grant awarded. The receipt of a private/external scholarship and/or grants may impact your financial aid package.
