Internships
With one of the best internship programs in the textile industry, our students get first-hand experience and begin building their professional network while in college.
With the assistance of the program, students are placed in either full or part-time positions typically beginning in their junior year. Students can receive credit for their placement, or can choose non-credit options. Students can take internships during the regular academic semester or the summer break.
Upon graduation many of our students receive job offers from the companies they interned with, or through connections they developed during their internships.
These are just a few of the companies where our students and alumni have recently started:
- Nike
- Eileen Fisher
- Ralph Lauren
- Anthropologie
- Free People
- Lilly Pulitzer
- Abercrombie & Fitch
Textile designers pursue careers ranging from design and styling in knits, wovens and prints to product development, color and trend forecasting and materials innovation. Recent graduates have accepted positions in: color and trim design, textile product development, print design, jacquard upholstery styling, CAD design/artist, and automotive interiors.
