Program
We are delighted to welcome you to our website and to provide you with information about this outstanding professional-level course of study.
One of several graduate programs within the College of Architecture and the Built Environment, the MS in Interior Architecture is a variable length program of interest to both students who have a baccalaureate degree in a field unrelated to design and to those who are looking to advance their knowledge and skills to a higher level. With an emphasis on innovation, design excellence, collaboration, and the intersection between architecture and interior design, graduates are ready to participate in creating sustainable, highly functional, and aesthetically pleasing interior environments for the 21st-century and beyond.
The MSIA curriculum comprises 69 credits that are completed during three academic years, with up to 26 credits and one year of advanced placement available to qualified applicants. Highlights of the program include a study away experience and internship/practicum for credit, and an emphasis on global practice and interdisciplinary collaboration.
Mentored by an outstanding faculty of accomplished practitioners, our students become proficient in the knowledge and skills necessary to creatively solve complex design problems and are ready to productively participate in the field immediately upon graduation.
Please feel free to contact us with any questions that you might have about our program. Also, we would be happy help you schedule a visit so we can meet in person, show you our facilities, and arrange for you to meet some of our students and faculty.
Best wishes,
