International Travel Guidance

International students, scholars, and employees must report international travel to the Office of International Services. Those who plan to travel outside the United States are required to follow the guidance below and follow the steps respective to their status.

International Travel for all F-1 & J-1 Students

If you are an international student at Jefferson (F-1 or J-1 Student Visa holder), please review Travel Information for F-1 & J-1 Students before embarking on your international travel.

International Travel for all Jefferson-sponsored Employees 

For employees- scholars, faculty, & staff on an international visa traveling outside of the U.S., it's crucial to understand and adhere to the information based on their specific visa category, be it J-1 Exchange, H-1B, O-1, or TN.

Jefferson-sponsored Student International Travel and Study Away Programs

Thomas Jefferson University students traveling internationally for Jefferson-sponsored activities and programs are REQUIRED to register their travel or apply through the Office of Study Away and Global Experiences in advance of their departure (at least 8 weeks prior).
