Travel Guidelines

Faculty and staff who will be traveling must follow the instructions for domestic and international travel as detailed in the Aug. 9 [email protected] email.

As a reminder, the CDC continues to recommend delaying any travel until you are fully vaccinated against COVID-19.

  • Note: Any individuals who are traveling on University business to areas where COVID-19 case rates are at high levels should consult with their supervisors (faculty and staff) or program directors (students) before traveling, and should also consult with Centers for Disease Control and U.S. Department of State advisories for the latest information about travel risk to specific destinations. The supervisors and program directors can determine if the risks involved in that travel outweigh the benefits, and reserve the right to deny approval for that travel.

Jefferson-Sponsored Travel to destinations with a Department of State Level 3 or Level 4 Travel Advisory for students or student groups will require additional review process and may be restricted.

Faculty leading student travel and students on Jefferson sponsored international travel should register their travel with the Office of International Services at least 8 weeks prior to allow for any additional review and visa processes.

Students, faculty and staff should follow all CDC recommendations.
