- promote educational enrichment and are ethically sound
- provides residents with experiences and objectives that cannot be met domestically
- ensures patient and resident safety
- allows opportunities for host-site and trainee continuity and sustainability
The opportunities are categorized below by region and will be updated as our relationships grow.
Jefferson Project - Kenya
Clinical, Radiology, Research
The Thomas Jefferson University – Kenya (Jefferson Project-Kenya) is a collaboration between the Thomas Jefferson University, the University of North Carolina, RAD-AID International and the University of Nairobi.
The mission of the Jefferson Project-Kenya is to identify innovative, culturally acceptable, and affordable methods to improve the health of the people of Kenya through clinical care, research, and improving accessibility and capacity of healthcare. This includes supporting the country’s first Interventional Radiology fellowship at the University of Nairobi (established September 2020).
