Application Process
Candidates should have acquired a strong foundation in basic physics. This should be documented by either a degree in physics or a degree in a related engineering or physical science, with coursework equivalent to a minor in physics (includes at least three upper-level undergraduate courses). A graduate degree or certificate in medical physics from a CAMPEP-accredited program is preferred; graduates degrees from non-CAMPEP medical physics programs, physics, electrical engineering, or biomedical engineering will be considered.
Applications are accepted through the AAPM MPRAP from approximately mid-October through approximately mid-December each year. Interview dates are typically in mid-February for matched positions starting July 1. Off-cycle or non-matched positions will be advertised via AAPM and MedPhys list-serv.
