Application & Interview Procedure

We will consider applications from trainees who have completed an ACGME accredited internal medicine residency in the US.

For ease and uniformity we participate in ERAS. You can obtain information about the ERAS fellowship application process at www.aamc.org/eras. Your applications can be submitted to ERAS starting in October, to be reviewed by us beginning in December. Between now and then, you can complete your application, work on your personal goals statement, and arrange for their supporting documents to be sent to the ERAS Fellowships Document Office (EFDO) for electronic transmittal. We require at leaset three current letters of recommendation.

Candidates will be notified about dates and procedures for an interview.

Deadline for Receipt

For any given fellowship start date we accept applications through July of the preceding year. Interviews take place October.  Early submission of the required application materials is strongly encouraged.

We must receive the complete ERAS application before an interview can be considered.

Requirements

Applicants should be eligible for board certification in Internal Medicine at the time they begin their fellowship training. Graduates of medical colleges outside the United States or Canada must present credentials acceptable to the Thomas Jefferson University Hospital and the Educational Council for Foreign Medical Graduates and must submit test scores before the application is processed. A valid Pennsylvania Medical license is also required at the time the applicant begins fellowship training.
