Jefferson Lung Cancer Learning Community (LC2) Initiative
Funding was awarded by the Bristol Myers Squibb Foundation in 2018 to support a project titled, “Engage a Learning Community to Increase Cancer Screening in Vulnerable Populations.” This project is referred to as the Jefferson LC2 Initiative.
The Jefferson LC2 Initiative aims to increase population knowledge about lung cancer and lung cancer screening, reduce stigma around lung cancer and screening, raise shared decision making and lung cancer screening, and increase tobacco treatment.
To guide this effort, the LC2 Initiative formed a learning community that includes a Coordinating Team, Strategic Management Team, a System Leadership Group, Steering Committee, Patient and Stakeholder Advisory Committees, Research and Evaluation Committee, and Policy Group.
