Richard Pomerantz, PhD, Receives The Catalyst Award from The Falk Medical Research Trust
Dr. Richard Pomerantz, Associate Professor of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, recently received The Catalyst Award from the Dr. Ralph and Marian Falk Medical Research Trust. The Trust was created in 1979 by Marian Falk with the goal of funding “medical research to improve treatments of the past and eventually find cures for diseases for which no definite cure is known”. Dr. Pomerantz’s Catalyst Award provides $300,000 in support of his project entitled “PROTACs for Targeting BRCA-Deficient Cancers”. Dr. Pomerantz joins the previous recipients of The Catalyst Award from the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, Drs. Alnemri, Benovic, Guo, McMahon, and Wedegaertner.
