Coaching in Context: Learning Options
Advanced Practice Certificate (4, 3 credit courses)
Designed for inter-disciplinary professionals with a desire to use coaching within their practice.
Introductory Course (3 credit)
Introduction to Coaching in Context (JCRS 760) introduces the foundation for coaching by presenting its core concepts using seminal evidence. Coaching models and frameworks will be explored, and alignment with students’ discipline frames of reference will be examined. Key to coaching, students will discuss ways to connect with clients, clarify and get more details, and create meaningful sessions by working in triads to initiate coaching, self-reflect, and provide feedback to colleagues. This course may be taken in isolation or as the first course for certificate completion.
Workshops
We offer Coaching in Context workshops for a variety of practice settings.
Life Care Planning Advanced Practice Certificate
This advanced practice certificate is designed for inter-disciplinary professionals who have a minimum of a bachelor’s degree-seeking to develop or contribute to Life Care Plans or pursue board-certified Life Care Planning designation.
Topics Related to Outcomes & Measurement Research
The Center for Outcomes and Measurement hosts a monthly lecture on a variety of topics related to outcomes and measurement.
