Rose Milani

"I work at Thomas Jefferson University, and know how much the faculty invest in and care for the students.  I also like the flexibility of the MPH program for Jefferson employees, and the ways it is geared towards applying the information and skills acquired. I’ve been in a public health related field for a while, and everything I’m learning is immediately applicable. I get to learn from amazing people who have a lot of experience working in their field. The instructors bring both knowledge and experience and teach from both."

Read "CPR for Mental Health"  in the Nexus to learn about Rose's work on a Mental Health First Aid training initiative.

"I'm pursuing an MPH with a concentration in public health analytics. This program is helping me to achieve my goals by creating opportunities for me to develop essential quantitative and analytical skills so that one day I may become a competent epidemiologist. The learning environment at Jefferson is amazing and I appreciate the support and guidance from the program director and faculty. The best part of my studies is that I have the opportunity to become proficient in new ideas and concepts. I'm learning how to identify and call attention to health disparities in our nation at the population health level."

David Klodowski

"I'm a dual-degree MD/MPH student. The best part of my education thus far has been my decision to pursue my MPH with the College of Population Health. I have loved learning about health behavior interventions and how to effectively advocate for policy change at different levels of government. In fact, later this semester I am meeting a with local council member’s office to discuss local healthcare legislation. These are things you don’t typically have time for in medical school, even at an innovative institution like Jefferson."
