On Friday, October 13, 2023, the Jefferson College of Pharmacy celebrated the Class of 2027 as they received their white coats in front of family, friends, faculty and administration. The formal White Coat Ceremony symbolizes acceptance of the incumbent roles and responsibilities by each student pharmacist. The Ceremony serves as the start of their professional journey, emphasizing the characteristics and qualities desired of a healthcare professional. Each student received their white coat from their faculty advisor and concluded the event by reciting the Oath of the Pharmacist.

From here forward the student will wear the white coat on their clinical rotations.  They will develop their professional identity by applying what has been learned in class, and observing and learning from their preceptors.
