A Valuable Mentor
After taking an elective course about medical cannabis, Jessica Lungen sought out a research opportunity that blossomed into multiple publications with Dr. Emily Hajjar. She joined a project that longitudinally surveyed patients using medical cannabis which resulted in a poster at a national meeting, a review article, and a scientific research publication. Dr. Hajjar routinely mentors students with a focus on developing their knowledge and skills in scholarship. Dr. Hajjar has a background in pharmacoepidemiology and she gets excited when students choose to learn more about this type of research. She also enjoys helping students get published and display their accomplishments at national meetings.
