Postdoctoral Fellowship Application Program
The Jefferson Postdoctoral Association and the Office of Postdoctoral Affairs offer the Postdoctoral Fellowship Application Program (PFAP) to assist Jefferson postdocs in the preparation of postdoctoral fellowship applications. Although competitive, these fellowships are a very valuable achievement for postdocs and are an excellent way to demonstrate your ability to obtain funding.
PFAP will host sessions on the following topics, and possibly additional topics per postdoc requests:
- Finding Funding: Introduction to grant search tools (library representative)
- Managing the Application Process
- Grant Writing Skills
- Possible additional sessions: K99/R00 application , F32/NRSA/AHA grants, IACUC and IRB approval and bioethics, Peer-review and editing, Interviewing skills.
This will be a hands-on course designed to provide practical help throughout the application process. The course is FREE, but postdocs should only enroll if they genuinely intend to submit a postdoctoral fellowship application in the next 6-12 months.
If peer-review and editing sessions occur, postdocs must have support of their PI to distribute their grant to fellow postdocs.
Space is limited to 8-12 people, and slots are available on a first come- first serve basis.
