Minors
The inclusion of a minor in a student’s program of study creates additional opportunities for professional growth and skillset development in a key area related to the student’s major. For organizational leadership majors, minor options in business administration, human resources, or information technology management offer students 12 credits of curriculum to develop key foundational knowledge specific to these areas. Students can leverage these minors to illustrate to an employer a depth of knowledge that goes beyond the major and further strengthen their resume.
Students enrolled in Continuing & Professional Studies-designated programs can benefit from a minor in business administration to complement their chosen degree. The minor provides an introduction to key business topics including accounting, finance, economics, management, and marketing.
Students enrolled in Continuing & Professional Studies-designated programs can benefit from a minor in human resources to complement their chosen degree. The minor provides an introduction to key business topics in human resources that would benefit leaders and managers in all field, such as employment law and staffing, recruitment and retention, and training and development.
Students enrolled in Continuing & Professional Studies-designated programs can benefit from a minor in information technology management to complement their chosen degree. The minor utilizes current business cases to illustrate how companies have identified and solved key business challenges using information systems and technologies. An additional selective option allows students to focus on network, database or cloud management to gain additional technical skills.
