Pre-Biotechnology Pathway Overview
Biotechnology is where life sciences and technology converge. A degree in biotechnology opens up numerous employment possibilities since practically every industry utilizes biotechnology. A biotechnology degree fosters creativity, innovation and adaptability that is applicable to most career choices.
The Jefferson Biotechnology program is designed to provide graduates with the unique ability to adapt and innovate in any research environment and product-driven industry. Examples include vaccine development, cell and gene therapy, molecular diagnostics and bioprocessing (manufacturing of biological therapies targeting cancer and other diseases).
In the Accelerated BS in Health Sciences - Pre-Biotechnology pathway program, students will complete all prerequisite coursework needed to be successful in upper-division courses of the BS in Biotechnology at the Center City campus.
