The Nursing Summer Training and Enrichment Program (Nursing STEP-UP) will be a hybrid model this year.

Nursing STEP-UP is open to rising high school juniors and seniors and offers an introduction to the field of nursing and its various disciplines.

The program includes:

  • college application preparation, including personal statement writing, resume development, and comprehensive SAT workshops delivered by a name-brand company
  • classroom and simulation experiences
  • time management and study skills training
  • student mentoring

The mandatory SAT prep class will take place virtually Monday through Thursday, and virtual or in-person enrichment activities will take place in the afternoons. There will be field trips and scheduled in-person simulation experiences at the Jefferson College of Nursing campuses.

Explore the field of nursing with Jefferson’s Summer Training and Enrichment Program (STEP-UP). This program for rising high school juniors and seniors includes SAT prep and personal development workshops.

Time:  Mondays – Fridays 8:30 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. 
Cost:  Free
Location: Hybrid format with the first week online for SAT Prep (9 a.m. to 11 a.m.) from Monday to Thursday. The remaining SAT prep lessons will take place on-campus, requiring students to report at 8:30 a.m.
