Career Achievement Award
The Provost’s Early Career Faculty Achievement Award recognizes a Thomas Jefferson University faculty member who has made exceptional progress during the first ten years of their initial faculty appointment. The awardee should demonstrate significant achievement in scholarship or creative work, exemplary teaching and outstanding citizenship and should be recognized as an emerging leader in their field. Up to one award will be given.
Nomination Process: Faculty may be nominated for this award by their College Dean or by the College’s Faculty Affairs Committee. Nominations should be approved by the College’s Executive Committee and the Dean prior to submission. The nomination packet should include a one to two-page letter of nomination and an unabridged curriculum vitae.
Eligibility: Faculty must be within ten years of their first faculty appointment and have been at Jefferson for a minimum of two years. A faculty member who has received this award is not eligible to receive the same award more than once. Deans, Department Chairs and Academic Administrators are not eligible for this award.
