Service Awards
The Award for Institutional Service recognizes a faculty member whose service to the institution and its programs is exceptional, a faculty member who routinely contributes above and beyond what is normally expected of a Thomas Jefferson University faculty member. The faculty member’s service may include mentoring of students, trainees and peers, committee service, service to student organizations, etc. Up to one award will be given.
Nomination Process: Faculty may be nominated for this award by their College Dean or by the College’s Faculty Affairs Committee. Nominations should be approved by the College’s Executive Committee and the Dean prior to submission. Ancillary Provost (Assistant Provosts, etc.) are eligible to nominate faculty. The nomination packet should include a one to two-page letter of nomination and an unabridged curriculum vitae.
Eligibility: All faculty members with at least two years of service at Thomas Jefferson University are eligible to receive this award. A faculty member who has received this award is not eligible to receive the same award more than once. Deans, Department Chairs and Academic Administrators are not eligible for this award.
