Mission
The Thomas Jefferson University Student Health Center is dedicated to providing confidential, comprehensive, and accessible health care for all students, so they may achieve their maximum intellectual and academic potential. Our mission is to help students become their own health advocates as they strive to reach an optimal state of well-being, and at the same time, to teach them how to best navigate the health care system to uphold their needs.
Medical Excuse Notes
As stated in the University Catalog, it remains the policy of Thomas Jefferson University that written medical notes or excuses are not provided by the staff of Student Health Services for a student’s absence or lateness to class. It is the responsibility of the student to discuss these matters with the appropriate faculty member.
Extended Absence
Any student who is unable to attend classes for an extended period of time (at least 3 consecutive days) related to a documented medical condition should notify the office of the Dean of Students at 215-951-2740 or [email protected].
