Monday-Friday 8am-4pm
Student Counseling Center staff is not available after hours or on weekends except in situations of extreme emergencies. In those instances, a member of the staff will be contacted by Safety and Security or other Thomas Jefferson University staff.

Jill Regalbuto, LCSW
Director
Jill Regalbuto, LCSW (she/her/hers) is the Director of Thomas Jefferson University - East Falls Student Counseling Center since January 2024. For the past two years, Jill has worked part time remotely providing counseling services to the students. Prior to coming to East Falls, Jill worked at the Philadelphia Prison System holding numerous titles including Behavioral Health Administrator and Custody Evaluation Supervisor. Throughout her time there, Jill worked with individuals struggling with depression, anxiety, grief and loss, and many more life altering struggles.
While working here at Jefferson - East Falls Campus, Jill hopes to be a support system for the students and aid them in developing good coping and decision making skills that will guide them throughout their life. In her free time, Jill can be found spending time with her family and friends, watching movies, and enjoying the outdoors.
Julianna Fomenko, LCSW
Counselor
Julianna Fomenko, LCSW (she/her/hers) is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. She received her Bachelor of Science in Education & Social Policy from Northwestern University in 2003 and her Master of Social Work from New York University in 2005.
Julianna has extensive experience providing psychotherapy and supervision support in community mental health clinics and education settings in New York City and Philadelphia. Most recently, Julianna served as the Manager of Student Care & Wellness at the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts, supporting college students with mental health care needs, providing wellness programming, and serving as the ADA/504 Coordinator establishing student academic accommodations.
Julianna values the creative aspect of doing short-term, therapeutic work, centering students’ individual and communal identities and family history within a strengths-based, trauma-informed approach. When not working, Julianna enjoys spending time with her family outside, painting, and thrifting.
Slade Roff, LCSW
Counselor
Slade Roff, LCSW (she/her/hers) is a licensed social worker who has worked extensively with individuals grappling with grief and loss, substance use and sudden traumatic events. Slade held a position within Moore College of Art and Design’s student affairs office while obtaining her master’s degree from the University of Pennsylvania’s School of Social Policy and Practice. Back then, Slade hoped she’d one day work as a therapist in a counseling center and is now thrilled to be a member of the SCC team.
Slade takes a relational approach to therapy, highlighting the importance of connection and the role of relationships past and present in our current lives. Slade believes honing in on an individual’s innate strengths and capacities will open a door to continued growth and personal inquiry. When not working, Slade can be found reading, running, spending time with close friends and family and playing with her two cats.
Keri Smotrich, PsyD
Counselor
Dr. Keri Smotrich, PsyD (she/her/hers) is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist. She received both her Master of Science degree in Clinical and Counseling Psychology and Doctor of Psychology degree from Chestnut Hill College in Philadelphia, PA.
Dr. Smotrich completed a pre-doctoral internship and post-doctoral fellowship at Pennsylvania Hospital. She has extensive experience working in community counseling centers, university health and assessment clinics, and inpatient psychiatric settings. She also has experience working with psycho-oncology patients and their families. Dr. Smotrich held a practicum at Thomas Jefferson University, Center City Campus during her graduate work and is very excited to be back in the Jefferson family.
Jonathan Frankenberg
Intern
Jonathan Frankenberg (he/him/his) is pursuing a Master of Social Service degree from the Bryn Mawr Graduate School of Social Work and Social Research.
Jonathan had a previous internship at the Montgomery County Intermediate Unit working with the parents of pre-K age children who were dealing with special needs challenges, separation anxiety, substance abuse and financial insecurity.
As a father of three who has two children who are the same age as many of the students that seek counseling here on campus, he looks forward to serving this community who are experiencing such a unique and mentally demanding stage of life. When not working, Jonathan enjoys spending time with his family of five (& dog, Colby), attending live music shows, and bike riding.
Christina Difilippo
Office Coordinator
Tina Difilippo (she/her/hers) is the office coordinator for the Thomas Jefferson University - East Falls Student Counseling Center. She received her Bachelor of Science in Human Development and Community Engagement from Temple University in 2022.
Tina coordinates the front end of the office and assists students in connecting with a therapist. When out of the office, Tina enjoys watching Philly sports teams, attending Orange Theory, and spending time with friends and family.
