Antoinette Shaw is an experienced occupational therapist who has worked in various clinical settings since 1990. She received her Bachelor's in Occupational Therapy from Howard University, a post-profession certification in administration from Towson University, and a PP-OTD from Thomas Jefferson University in 2020. She has also served in multiple capacities to promote occupational therapy and the development of future leaders, particularly in the area of geriatric rehabilitation. In October 2021, she became the program director of the OTA program at the Community College of Baltimore County.

Dr. Talero-Cabrejo is an experienced bilingual Occupational Therapist with a demonstrated history of working as a clinician and educator in various settings in the USA and abroad. She is an Assistant Professor at Jefferson College for Rehabilitation Sciences in the PP-OTD program, a published author, a peer reviewer, and part of the Colombian Occupational Therapy Journal editorial committee. Research and clinical interests include critical participation and social inclusion perspectives, cultural and environmental issues, chronic illness, disability, social determinants of health, social neuroscience, and health and social justice.

Congratulations to Dr. Roseann Schaaf, PhD, OTR/L FAOTA, PP-OTD faculty mentor, who won this year’s Thomas Jefferson University Provost’s Award for Clinical Research, a recognition that speaks to the importance of her contributions to Ayre’s Sensory Integration intervention research.
