Department of Exercise Science
Welcome to the Department of Exercise Science
Whether you are interested in our undergraduate Exercise Science programs or our graduate Athletic Training programs, Jefferson prepares graduates to have successful careers and to be leaders in their respective professions.
Exercise Science at Thomas Jefferson University
Our faculty provide the core foundation for the educational programs by 1) putting our students first and caring for not only their education but also their health and wellbeing, 2) being great instructors that make learning fun and 3) conducting high-quality scientific research, which is incorporated into the curriculum to provide the most up-to-date evidence-based knowledge. Our programs also include a variety of hands-on clinical educational experiences that allow students to gain practical knowledge working with actual patients and clients.
Our Department of Exercise Science provides students with the knowledge and skills necessary to succeed in the competitive health and fitness job market. Learn more from Department Chair Stephen Thomas, PhD, ATC, in this accompanying video.
