Flu Fest 2023

Each October the Office of Student Life hosts a Flu Fest to efficiently offer the influenza vaccine to students. Pharmacy faculty and students credentialed as immunizers in the state of Pennsylvania, assist by providing vaccinations. Additionally, JCP’s American Pharmacists Association-Academy of Student Pharmacists (APhA-ASP) Operation Immunization Committee provided education on immunizations. Jefferson students had the opportunity to participate in immunization trivia games to win prizes.

Pharmacists are key providers of immunizations. Did you know that ~ 90% of the more than 300 million COVID-19 immunizations were administered by pharmacists? And that annually greater than 60% of influenza immunizations are administered by pharmacists.
