Yes. The program is STEM and therefore international students who successfully complete the program are eligible for the STEM 24-month OPT Extension.

Advanced placement is an award. All enrolling students in the program have an opportunity to apply for the award in the month of July prior to the Fall term. Awards for the advanced placement opportunity will be distributed before the end of July. Students may then choose to adjust their enrollment. To be considered for this award students must have:

  • A web-based portfolio demonstrated advanced-level work in web, multimedia, interactive or UX design.
  • A minimum of 3-years professional industry experience in web, multimedia, interactive or UX design.

Thomas Jefferson University subscribes to a “rolling admissions” policy. Rolling admissions means that there is no set application deadline. For more information contact the Office of Admissions directly. You can apply online.

Yes, there is a portfolio requirement as part of the admissions process for incoming graduate students at Thomas Jefferson University. For more information, contact Graduate Admissions or the program director, [email protected]. In addition, there is a portfolio requirement to exit the program, as a portfolio is a required component to graduate from the MS in Interactive Design & Development program.
