  • Bioanalytical/Regulatory/Quality Principles (3 Credits)

Spring Semester

  • Intro to Upstream Unit Operations (3 Credits)
  • Intro to Downstream Unit Operations (3 Credits)
  • Quality by Design (QbD), Process Selection and Optimization (1.5 Credits)
  • Process Characterization and Validation (1.5 Credits)
  • Concentration Coursework (6 Credits)

Summer Semester

  • Capstone Project (6 Credits)

Option 1: Protein Replacement Therapies (36 credits)

This option includes all of the courses listed above for Fall and Spring in conjunction with the following:

  • Vector and Cell Line Design (3 Credits)
  • Emerging Therapeutics (1.5 Credits)
  • Drug Product Development and Formulation (1.5 Credits)

Option2: Analytical Techniques and Regulatory Principles

This option also includes all of the courses listed for Fall and Spring in conjunction with the following:

  • Pharmaceutical Good Manufacturing Practices (1.5 Credits)
  • Analytical Quality by Design and Method Validation (1.5 Credits)
  • Biologics and Biosimilars: Regulatory Overview (1.5 Credits)
  • Quality Systems for Regulatory Compliance (1.5 Credits)

Option 3: Advanced Vaccine Manufacture

  • Vector and Cell Line Design (3 Credits)
  • Emerging Therapeutics (1.5 Credits)
  • Vaccine Formulation (1.5 Credits)
