C. Beige Berryman, AICP is the Art and Design manager at the Philadelphia City Planning Commission. She joined the Planning Commission staff in 2007, contributing to the Philadelphia2035 Citywide Vision and District Plan process as a senior urban designer, and now manages the Civic Design Review process and serves as the Art Commission director. Beige first experienced Philadelphia as a student at Philadelphia College of Textiles and Science (now Jefferson University) where she received a Bachelor of Architecture in 2003. She went on to receive a Master of Planning from the University of Southern California in 2007.

Phu Duong is an urban designer and architect engaged in domestic and international projects at NBBJ. Phu’s design experience has guided multidisciplinary teams from design visions to completing competition- and award-winning projects. Since 2003, Phu has been influencing the next generation of urban designers and architects through teaching appointments at Columbia University, Syracuse University and Parsons the New School for Design. He received a Master of Science in Architecture and Urban Design from Columbia University and a Bachelor of Architecture from Washington State University, and he is a member of the American Institute of Architects, the American Planning Association and the Urban Land Institute. 

Philip Enquist is a Fellow in the American Institute of Architects and an Honorary Member of the American Society of Landscape Architects and is currently serving on the Rivers Governance Task Force and Committee on Design for the City of Chicago. Beginning in 2009, Phil has led an ongoing initiative looking holistically at a vision for the international Great Lakes and St. Lawrence River watersheds, home to over 40 million people. From 1995 to 2017, Phil directed the City Design Practice (CDP) for Skidmore, Owings & Merrill. Phil has taught at Harvard University, University of Michigan, Illinois Institute of Technology and University of Tennessee.

Based in Dubai, Yahya is President & Design Director at NORR. With 33 years of global experience, Yahya leads NORR’s design efforts in the Middle East and Asia. Yahya undertook his undergraduate and graduate studies at Princeton University. A licensed architect in New York, Yahya worked for 8 years in the US before moving to Dubai in 1996. Since then, Yahya has played a pivotal design role at NORR, bringing to life visionary projects throughout the region. A winner of numerous international awards, Yahya’s design and research is featured at conferences and in leading publications worldwide.

Xiaomei serves as a strategic leader in Gensler, in what is acknowledged as the most admired and largest architecture firm in the world. As the Regional Managing Principal for Greater China, with 30 years of architectural and design experience, she has directed many prominent projects, often on a complex scale. Notable is Xiaomei’s leadership in delivering China’s tallest building, the renowned and highly awarded 632-meter-high Shanghai Tower. A highly respected thought leader, current topics on her horizon concern the integration of digital design technology and traditional architecture, the implementation of climate resilience strategies and the fast-emerging role of PropTech in design.

Jack works with public and private clients to create vibrant, sustainable cities, bringing a design-oriented approach to solving complex challenges, with a keen understanding of the designer’s responsibility to the public. With an undergraduate foundation in visual arts and literature from Harvard University, he received his Master of Architecture from the Yale School of Architecture. Jack leads mixed-use development projects, spanning urban infrastructure, transportation, multi-family residential developments, and large-scale master plans. He has taught in the Real Estate program at NYU, frequently speaks at conferences and symposia, and his writing has appeared in FastCo Design, Architectural Record, World Architecture, and the New York Times.

Ilkay is an Asso. AIA with 12 years’ experience in architecture both designing and managing large scale projects globally. She founded ‘GENX Design and Technology’ as an “Innovation Hub” bringing together global experts to respond to the biggest problems in the AEC industry. Her teams manage projects from design to construction, integrating Aerospace technology into the process. Ilkay is an Adjunct Professor at NYU Tandon School of Engineering and has taught at NJIT. Prior to founding GenX she worked at KPF as an Associate Principal where she led multiple large-scale projects. 

Luc Wilson is a Director at Kohn Pedersen Fox and leads KPF Urban Interface (ui.kpf.com,) which is focused on computational design, technology development and data analytics. The UI team has worked on over 400 projects globally ranging from master plans to rezonings to supertall towers. His work and research have been published in both academic and popular publications from Architectural Science Review and the Economist to Wired and the New York Times. Luc is currently an Adjunct Assistant Professor at Columbia GSAPP and previously was an Adjunct Course Advisor in the Center for Data Science at NYU, and at Cornell University teaching an architectural studio.
