MSCM - On Campus Program
What is unique about Jefferson's on campus Masters of Construction Management (MSCM) program?
- Our graduates are prepared to take on the exciting challenges of the built environment and shape the future of social, economic and environmental sustainability.
- A key component to the program is the integration of techniques, materials, and methods of sustainable building into the construction process.
- Students are exposed to hands-on experience of construction means and methods in various courses.
- Projects ranging from 10,000 SF to 100,000 SF are used actively in courses to practice construction management applications in commercial, infrastructure, and residential building projects.
- The curriculum includes the unique Masters' Project course, where students demonstrate their skills in the preparation of a complete bid package and construction plan of an actual construction project. The Project Manual is composed of a detailed estimate, schedule, cash flow, quality, safety, environmental and risk management plans, means and methods, site logistic plans, a Revit model, and a LEED proposal. The project is then presented to jurors composed of Jefferson faculty and outside evaluators such as Industry Advisory Board members. Strong integration with the construction management community in Philadelphia and the tri-state area provides students and graduates valuable opportunities for internships and job placement.

The curriculum is designed to prepare students to be effectivec construction managers and build up their career growth in the construction industry.
