Dr. Bernard Lopez leads Thomas Jefferson University's strategic efforts on diversity and inclusion within the academic pillar. He is responsible for the formulation of a strategic vision and implementation of initiatives and activities to advance the diversity and inclusion efforts of the individual colleges that make up Jefferson, as well as the university as a whole in its research, education, clinical and service missions. He guides the recruitment and retention of students, residents, faculty and staff from groups underrepresented in the health fields and provides direction for cultural sensitivity education.
