Facilities Operations & Maintenance is responsible for the basic operation and managed care of the physical facilities of the University. Our intention toward comprehensive stewardship allows our historically and award-winning, 100-plus-year-old mansions to be enjoyed alongside modern and architecturally award-winning academic buildings.
A long time Green Power partner of the EPA, Thomas Jefferson University was awarded Leadership Club distinction and the EPA's Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Championship as the largest user of green power in the conference. Maintained excellence, sustainability and ongoing improvement are all attributes the department strives to attain every day
From the lights, furniture, and equipment in the offices and classrooms, to the floors in the building, energy management, sustainability, event and activity support, new construction and renovations, and the beautiful landscape of our campus; the Physical Plant team of professionals works behind the scenes and around the clock to get the job done!
