Nuclear Medicine/Molecular Imaging
Background & Accomplishments
The Division of Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Imaging offers procedures that involve the diagnostic and therapeutic use of radiolabeled tracers and radiolabeled pharmaceuticals for virtually every organ system in the body, for both benign and malignant diseases. Approximately 900 to 1000 procedures per year are performed in the hospital (inpatient and outpatients) and approximately 2500 patients per year undergo PET/CT scanning at our outpatient center, Jefferson Center City Imaging.
