On behalf of Dr. Adam Dicker, Enterprise Sr. Vice President, Chair and Professor, Department of Radiation Oncology, and Dr. Lydia Komarnicky-Kocher, Professor and Director, Department of Radiation Oncology Residency and Medical Student Clerkship Programs, we are pleased to announce Omoruyi Credit Irabor, MD, MPH, PGY-3 Physician Resident in the Department of Radiation Oncology, is a recipient of a 2022 American Society for Radiation Oncology (ASTRO)-AstraZeneca Radiation Oncology Research Training Fellowship. Dr. Irabor received a $102,000 fellowship grant and will travel to AstraZeneca facilities during Summer 2022 to begin research. 

ASTRO-AstraZeneca Fellowships provide opportunities for early-career physician scientists and scientists to obtain mentored training in an industry setting for up to one year. They are designed to provide U.S. based residents or other trainees with real-world experience in drug development. The fellows can expect to work on multiple projects with a main focus on late-stage drug development challenges, including novel drug-radiation combinations, either with Immuno-Oncology, or anti-epidermal growth factor receptor agents.
