Research & Clinical Interests
The focus of my scholarly activities is continue to develop proficiency and to mentor others in improving healthcare quality and value for pregnant women, primarily through identifying barriers to optimal health and evaluating and establishing collaborative, systemic, cost-effective, and patient-centered solutions. Particular areas of focus include healthcare quality and safety, nutrition in pregnancy, operative obstetrics, and population health (with a specific focus on Sub-Saharan Africa).
