Research and Clinical Interests:
Dr. Barta graduated from Jefferson Medical College in 2008 and went on to complete her residency in Internal Medicine and fellowship in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine in New York. She completed an additional year of research training following her clinical fellowship and returned to Jefferson in 2015 to pursue her clinical and research interest in lung cancer. Dr. Barta is a member of the laboratory of Steven McMahon, PhD in the Department of Cancer Biology, where she is studying regulatory mechanisms and pathways important in early stage lung cancer. Dr. Barta also attends on the pulmonary consult service and sees both lung nodule patients and general pulmonary outpatients.
