Hagerty is an active member of the American Association for Anatomy (AAA). She has joined her AAA colleagues Drs. Mary Piscura (Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine at Auburn) and Dana Peterson (Drexel University College of Medicine) to create a high school outreach initiative known as the Anato-Bee. Anato-Bee is a competition in the anatomical sciences that awards top students to attend a STEMM focused summer program of their choice. Anato-Bee hosted its inaugural competition in the spring of 2024 and will host the national competition on a yearly basis.
Dr. Hagerty is current member of the Committee for Early Career Anatomists (CECA) with the American Association of Anatomy and Committee of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion with Sidney Kimmel Medical College.
