Research & Clinical Interests

My research focus has been on medical education. Specifically, focusing on residency training. Notable research has been on the impact of resident work hours on patient and trainee safety, via a commissioned review supported by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education. I also have interests in the transition from undergraduate to graduate medical education, resident wellness, impact of the Electronic Health Record on physician empathy and wellness, and professionalism issues surrounding undergraduate and graduate medical education.
